Born in the capital of Hungary, Budapest, Doma Schrank began his career at the age of 13 as a guitarist.
Doma, now a Los Angeles based composer, songwriter, producer, musician (guitar, bass, piano, turntable) has worked with a string of power advertising agencies such as DDB, McCann, GreyWorldwide, LeoBurnett and JWT composing commercial music for McDonald’s, T-Mobile , CoverGirl, L’Oreal , AVON , Ford , Vodafone, Audi etc.

 

In 2004, he worked the turntable beats with DJ Bootsie Quartet. He also made the highlight by being the featured guitarist to Hungary hottest producer, Yonderboi on the Splendid Isolation album European tour which he embarked on a massive tour to The Netherlands, Germany, France, Italy, Belgium, Austria, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Latvia and Russia.

 

In the course of the last 2 years, Doma’s music career has include working with Yonderboi ( Mole Listening Pearls ) , DJ Bootsie ( BBE ) , Majka, Animal Cannibals, Tzumo Arpad and more artists of EMI and Warner Music Hungary.

 

In 2006, Doma was commissioned to produce a soundtrack “Fél 8” for movie, Szóke Kóla, sung by popular Hungarian TV host/actor/rapper, Majka. Thereafter he produced a famous hit single “Csak Méreg” for Majka in 2007. This single has proved great success and Warner Music in Hungary commissioned Doma to produce Majka’s third album, Húz a Szívem Haza. More recently, this album was nominated for Best Hiphop/Rap Album for 2008 Fonogram Award (Hungary’s equivalent to the Grammy Awards)

 

Another noteworthy mention was his involvement in assisting Yonderboi in making of several soundtrack pieces for the movie Sándor Pál’s Noah’s Ark. The film has been chosen as the opening screening of the 38th Hungarian Film Week.


Trailing along his success in commercial music, albums and collaboration, Doma also displayed his versatility with his composition for Hungarian theatre music scores Nagy Fruzsina and Pater Sparrow’s Recycle.

 

In 2011 was produced several hungarian Top 10 pop / r’n’b / hip hop songs and
played lead guitars on Yonderboi’s album “Passive Control” (2011) .
